Our World. Our Future. Girl Strong.
Lizzy has been selected for the 2021 Celebration of Hoosier Women Artists. She writes, “Most the girls in this painting are girls I know or are in my life somehow from granddaughters to neighbors to FB friends. My message is to raise daughters that find strength in the fruits of the spirit. ‘Our World. Our Future. Girl Strong.'”

Since 2007, the Hoosier Women Artists program has celebrated and further expanded the important role art plays in our communities by showcasing the work of talented female artists throughout the state. Artists living in Indiana who identify as female were encouraged to submit artwork for consideration to be displayed in the Statehouse office of a female elected official.
Participating Elected Officials:
- Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch
- Secretary of State Connie Lawson
- Auditor of State Tera Klutz
- Treasurer of State Kelly Mitchell
- Superintendent of Public Instruction Jennifer McCormick
- Chief Justice Loretta Rush
In addition, First Lady Janet Holcomb also selects pieces to be displayed in the Governor’s Residence each year.
The program is a partnership between the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, Treasurer of State, and the Indiana Arts Commission.
