Hoosier Women Artists

The Hoosier Women Artists program began in 2008 to honor and value the importance of the arts in Indiana’s communities and to display the artwork of talented female artists throughout the state. 

2017

Lizzy was among the Hoosier Women Artists selected in 2017. The art was displayed in the Indiana Statehouse and governor’s residence.

Art was also featured in an exhibition at the Haan Mansion Museum of Indiana Art, titled “Hoosier Women Artists: Works Selected for the Statehouse” from August to October.

2016

Lizzy was chosen from over a hundred entries in the tenth annual competition to be one of the Hoosier Women Artists, announced by Treasurer of State Kelly M. Mitchell.

Her painting was on display for one year in Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann’s office.

Lizzy was chosen by Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman as one of eleven winners in the fifth annual Hoosier Women’s Artists competition. Her painting was on display for one year in the Lt. Governor’s office at the Indiana State House.
