On May 10, we learned that Lizzy's dog sculpture had been vandalized and stolen from in front of the Purdue's School of Veterinary Medicine. His leg was broken and one foot was still attached to the cement base on campus.  At the same time, another VetMed-sponsored sculpture, Alpha Dog by Janet Ivas, was stolen. The VetMed staff and artists were sad and shocked. Campus police immediately began searching. Lizzy's dog, Oliver, was recovered but Alpha Dog was not.
